Homages Continue for the Reiners as Autopsy Reports Are Sealed.

Over a fortnight following the shocking loss of celebrated filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones are still paying respects to the pair.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Writing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, explained he only now felt able to share openly about his profound loss.

"Adequate time has elapsed that I can at last put my grief into words," shared Elwes, adding that his first meeting with Reiner created an instant bond. "When we commenced spending more time together I knew this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor shared archival material from the production, remarking that he could not remember "a single day without joy".

"This story is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Things that Rob held dear. This is one of the many reasons he was the ideal person to helm it," Elwes wrote.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, stating: "Asserting that they were a great team would be an understatement. My heart still hurts every time I remember you." He finished with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Friend and Collaborator

In a different tribute, revered director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was very funny and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the protagonist.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked wonderfully with his co-stars, and he grasped the human predicament of his character," Scorsese noted.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Restricted

This week, a Los Angeles court official ruled to block the publication of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, following a petition from the LAPD.

A legal directive put a restriction on the investigation to prohibit the public release of "related notes, documents, files or images" pertaining to the ongoing investigation.

The coroner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the outcome of foul play, with a public database noting the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Aftermath and Reactions

After the killings, public individuals expressed varying comments.

Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, providing controversial claims that were broadly criticized by several commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his perspective to the detractors recently. Speaking on his podcast, Rogan labeled the comments as "shocking" and suggested they demonstrated a worrisome lack of empathy.

Rogan finished by remarking that an adviser could have acted when the decision to weigh in on the tragedy was made.
