Barça to Host Historic Match at Upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday
The club confirmed they will play at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou over the weekend. The club will host Athletic Bilbao in La Liga 30 months following their departure so building work could begin.

The stadium will not be at full capacity with 45,401 fans are permitted inside under the licence granted. Once fully finished, the stadium’s capacity will reach close to 105,000 fans, up from the previous 99,000. Officials confirmed finished work included a renovated tunnel for players plus modern locker rooms.

Barcelona held a public practice on the home pitch in early November. Officials stated approval is being pursued from European football’s governing body for their upcoming Champions League fixture versus the German side on 9 December at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place at the Olympic Stadium.
